Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Minister to the Prime Minister's Office and Acting Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, presided over the laity in the ceremony celebrating the certificates, royal fans, and royal robes of the monks of Wat Paknam and foreign Dhamma missionaries who received the royal appointment of the ecclesiastical title of Phrakhru Sanyabat and were considered for promotion to the rank of Phrakhru Sanyabat. According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Jiraporn revealed that His Majesty the King has graciously bestowed the titles of Phrakru Sanyabat to 46 monks. This group includes 33 senior monks who have received the titles and 13 senior monks who have been ordered to be promoted to these titles. These titles are awarded to monks for their contributions to the country and Buddhism, for holding the position of Sangha chief, and for managing the affairs of the Sangha. The Supreme Patriarch's decision has been a significant factor in determining which monks deserve these promotions to the rank of Sangha chief.
