Bangkok: A jealous ex-husband tragically ended the life of a tomboy in Bangkok after discovering her close relationship with his ex-wife. The three individuals involved, all Burmese nationals, had relocated to Thailand for work purposes.
According to Thai News Agency, paramedics attempted to save 32-year-old Ms. Nwe Zin Oo, also known as Ann, after she was found with a stab wound to the chest in Soi Chamlong Mansion, Bang Bon District. Despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. The attacker, identified as 46-year-old Mr. Soe Nyunt, fled the scene on a motorcycle, an act captured by security cameras in the area.
The incident has cast a shadow over Wat Nin Sukharam, where Nwe Zin Oo's body was laid to rest. Ms. Noi, the ex-wife of the perpetrator and the current partner of the deceased, recounted the events. She had ended her 15-year relationship with Mr. Soe Nyunt due to his abusive behavior, particularly when intoxicated. After their separation, she and the deceased began a relationship and had been living together for three months.
The room owner where the deceased and Ms. Noi resided expressed concern over Mr. Soe Nyunt's previous behavior and attempts to cause trouble. On the day of the attack, he ambushed the couple as they returned from work, leading to a confrontation that resulted in the fatal stabbing. The room owner described the deceased as a well-liked individual with a positive demeanor.
Police have since apprehended Mr. Soe Nyunt and questioned him for over three hours at Bang Bon Police Station. He claimed that a taunting message from the deceased pushed him to confront her, insisting he was unaware of her relationship with his ex-wife.
