Chiang Mai: Chiang Mai Zoo reveals a new member, a female 'baby giraffe', and invites people to vote on a name for the baby giraffe, which was born on February 7. Tourists flocked to see its cuteness.
According to Thai News Agency, the one-month-old baby giraffe is the offspring of 'Ton Khun', a 7-year-7-month-old father giraffe who was relocated from Khon Kaen Zoo, and 'Dao', a 12-year-3-month-old mother giraffe from Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo. The baby giraffe is described as healthy and can be seen daily in the African animal zone.
Tourists have the opportunity to participate in naming the baby giraffe by choosing from six options: Luna, Sara, Bella, Ton Duean, Tonrak, and Rak Khun. Voting is available online on the Chiang Mai Zoo Facebook page and will continue until March 25. Participants have the chance to win a special pass granting entry to Chiang Mai Zoo and Chiang Mai Zoo Aquarium for up to one year. The winning name will be announced on the Chiang Mai Zoo Facebook page on March 31.
