Bangkok: Khlong Tan Police Station has taken a high-society figure, Luk Nut, into custody as part of an ongoing investigation. Officers from the Children and Women Protection Division of the Metropolitan Police Bureau arrested Mr. Thanat, also known as Hi-So Luk Nut, at his residence in the Phatthanakan area of Suan Luang District, Bangkok. A significant number of firearms and ammunition were seized as evidence.
According to Thai News Agency, Hi-So Luk Nut, who faces charges of illegal possession of firearms, ammunition, and narcotics, was escorted by police from Khlong Tan Police Station to the Phra Khanong Criminal Court. To avoid the large media presence, police took him out through the back door to a police car for detention.
Before being detained, Hi-So Luk Nut was taken into custody to have his fingerprints recorded. When questioned by reporters, he stated that the police treated him well. He declined to comment on allegations of forcing a victim to take drugs or physical assault, saying, "I'm here to discuss firearms."
The arresting officers reported that Hi-So Luk Nut frequently hosted parties for entertainers at his home. Two weeks prior, he allegedly invited three entertainers to his house, where he forced them to use drugs and engage in sexual activities. One entertainer managed to escape and filed a police report, providing evidence that included photographs of a firearm inside the residence.
Authorities deemed the case credible and secured a search warrant from the Phra Khanong Criminal Court. During the search, officials found Hi-So Luk Nut armed and appearing intoxicated. When confronted by the fully armed Arintharat 26 unit officers, he surrendered without resistance. A urine test indicated the presence of drugs.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Hi-So Luk Nut is a gun collector. Authorities are currently evaluating the firearms to ascertain their authenticity and registration status. In terms of the assault allegations, officials are collaborating with the victim to provide testimony and file a formal complaint at the Khlong Tan Police Station to advance charges against Hi-So Luk Nut.
