Four Women Arrested After Being Tricked by Cambodian Guide into Illegal Border Crossing

Aranyaprathet: Four women have been arrested after being tricked by a Cambodian guide into illegally crossing the border back into Thailand. The women, abandoned at the border, called their boyfriend to pick them up, leading to their eventual arrest. According to Thai News Agency, the Burapha Task Force, alongside the Aranyaprathet Task Force and the 1206th Ranger Company, apprehended one man and four women in possession of a sedan. The arrests occurred in the border area of Khlong Nam Sai Subdistrict, Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province. The women and their friend had crossed the border from Cambodia through a natural route without proper authorization. The women revealed that they paid 4,000 baht each to cross back into Thailand. However, they were left stranded at the border when their Cambodian guide abandoned them. In distress, they contacted their male friend, who came to their aid. The men claimed concern for their girlfriends led them to the border, where they were subsequently arrested. All in dividuals involved have been initially taken to Khlong Nam Sai Police Station, where they face charges of illegal entry and assistance.
