Nakhon Ratchasima: Two people sustained serious injuries after a giant firecracker exploded during New Year celebrations in Nakhon Ratchasima, prompting authorities to reiterate safety warnings about fireworks. The incidents, which occurred in separate locations, involved severe hand injuries to both victims.
According to Thai News Agency, the first incident took place in Udomthap Subdistrict, Wang Nam Khiao District. Mr. Somyot, 35, suffered devastating injuries when a giant firecracker exploded in his right hand, crushing all five fingers and causing a severe laceration up to his wrist.
