Fire Contained After Engulfing Warehouse in Surin City

Surin: A fire broke out at a warehouse in the middle of Surin town, covering an area of 3 rai, and spread to two houses before being contained.

According to Thai News Agency, the fire started at a warehouse on Liang Muang Road, Saeng Phan Subdistrict, Mueang Surin District. The blaze spread rapidly, consuming approximately 3 rai. More than 20 fire engines were deployed to extinguish the fire. It was reported that the fire also spread to two nearby houses. Initial investigations suggest that the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit, and there were no employees present in the warehouse during the incident.

Villagers in the vicinity reported witnessing a significant amount of smoke and fire, noting the rapid spread of the flames. The warehouse stored plastic and plastic packaging materials, including plastic bags, barrels, mattresses, and wardrobes, which fueled the fire. The latest reports confirm that the fire has been successfully contained.
