Escaped Nonthaburi Prison Inmate Captured in Chonburi Province

Chonburi: The escaped prisoner from Nonthaburi Prison has been arrested and cornered in Chonburi Province. A male prisoner who escaped from Nonthaburi Provincial Prison was arrested while on an outside mission. He was cornered in front of a hotel in Bangsaen, Chon Buri Province, before being brought in for questioning and prosecution at Nonthaburi City Police Station.

According to Thai News Agency, police raided and arrested Mr. Wasan, also known as Ek, a prisoner in a robbery case, after he escaped from prison while on an outside mission. He is currently being held back in Nonthaburi.

In the case of Mr. Wasan, 32 years old, a prisoner in a robbery case, sentenced to 1 year and 12 months in prison, having served 9 months of his sentence with 1 year and 3 months remaining, he escaped from the construction site of the Corrections Department Museum after being brought from Nonthaburi Provincial Prison to help with work since 8:00 a.m. on February 3rd. It was not until lunchtime that prison officials learned that Mr. Wasan had escaped, so they contacted the police at Nonthaburi City Police Station to urgently track him down.

After spending 2 days hunting him, at 2:00 PM on February 5, police from Nonthaburi Police Station were able to arrest Mr. Wasan in front of a hotel in Bangsaen, Chon Buri. After making the arrest, the arrest team took him to record the arrest at Saen Suk Police Station before taking him in for questioning and legal action at Nonthaburi City Police Station.
