Election Commission Gears Up for Lampang Provincial Polls

Lampang: The Election Commission is ramping up preparations for the upcoming Lampang Provincial Administrative Organization election set to take place on February 1st. In a bid to ensure a smooth and transparent election process, the Chairman of the Election Commission, Mr. Itthiphon Boonprakong, visited the area to observe the training of election commissioners at the Hang Chat District Meeting Hall, located in Lampang Province.

According to Thai News Agency, the training sessions were conducted from January 27th to 29th, involving 924 polling station committee members from 84 polling stations. The purpose of the training was to equip officials with the necessary skills to perform their duties in accordance with legal guidelines, minimize errors, and maintain election transparency.

During his visit, Mr. Boonprakong commended the efforts of the MWA, highlighting its crucial role in ensuring the success of the election. He emphasized the importance of utilizing the smart vote application, which provides essential information about polling stations and includes a manual to assist voters. The EC Chairman encouraged the use of this technology to facilitate a seamless voting experience for the electorate.
