Bangkok: The Election Commission has announced the results for local elections concerning 19 provincial governors and 38 provincial council members. This announcement follows the elections held on February 1, 2025, marking the completion of terms for these positions.
According to Thai News Agency, the Election Commission's decision was made in compliance with Section 17 of the Local Government Council or Local Administration Election Act B.E. 2562 and its amendments. The results were declared for the provincial administrative organization presidents in 19 provinces, including Phrae, Lamphun, Chiang Mai, and others. Additionally, the results for members of the Provincial Administrative Organization Council were announced for 38 provinces, covering regions such as Kamphaeng Phet, Phayao, and Sukhothai.
The Election Commission undertook a 2-day period to finalize the announcement of election results for provincial administrative organization presidents in 29 provinces and council members in 57 provinces.
