Sa kaeo: The Eastern Forces have effectively pushed Cambodian soldiers out of four strategic areas in Sa Kaeo Province, maintaining tight security along the border and progressing with the evacuation of residents from high-risk zones.
According to Thai News Agency, the operation commenced at 8:00 a.m. on July 26, 2015, as part of the ongoing conflict along the Thai-Cambodian border. The 1st Army Area Operations Center executed the mission under the Chakkraphong Phuwanat 681st Army Plan, deploying Burapha Forces to reclaim Thai sovereign territory. The operation successfully expelled Cambodian forces from the contested areas, specifically two areas in Ta Phraya District and 22 areas in Khok Sung District.
Currently, forces are stationed to secure the border, ensuring the sovereignty of Thailand and the safety of its citizens. The military has also supported provincial agencies in evacuating 4,076 people to temporary shelters in 19 designated areas within Sa Kaeo Province, preventing any harm to the local population.
To assist evacuees, the 19th Army Circle has established a royal kitchen in the Sara Kaeo Municipality area, providing meals since July 26, 2015. Authorities have urged the public to refrain from capturing or disseminating images and videos of military operations to prevent misinformation that could lead to confusion or panic. Additionally, they have advised vigilance against fake news proliferating on social media, encouraging reliance on official sources for accurate information.
