Bangkok: The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has initiated an inquiry into two Thai shareholders of Prince International Co., Ltd., aiming to uncover any potential connections to the "Chen Zhi" network.
According to Thai News Agency, the investigation is spearheaded by Pol. Lt. Col. Wisanu Chimtrakul, Deputy Director-General of the DSI. Officials from the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, accompanied the DSI in inspecting the premises of Prince International Company located in the Sino-Thai Tower Building in Watthana District. This operation involved meeting with the company's shareholders to document their statements and gather the necessary documentary evidence. The shareholders have agreed to cooperate with the DSI by providing the requested clarifications.
The investigation follows reports suggesting that Prince International Co., Ltd. may have ties to the Prince Group network, which is associated with Mr. Chen Zhi. The two Thai shareholders are set to be questioned about their business dealings and any affiliations with the Prince Group network. The decision on whether the case will be escalated remains pending.
