Diplomatic Delegation Visits Site of Cambodian Attack in Sisaket

Sisaket: Diplomatic and military attach©s from 23 countries, along with Thai and foreign media, visited a convenience store in Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province, which had been struck by a rocket fired by Cambodia. This attack, occurring at a PTT gas station in Ban Phue, resulted in the deaths of eight Thai nationals. Officials provided a briefing on the situation since the incident on July 24 and the ongoing developments in the area.

According to Thai News Agency, the visit aimed to ensure the diplomatic corps received accurate information about the event, free from undisclosed biases. The Thai military highlighted that Cambodian forces had deliberately targeted civilian sites, leading to the tragic loss of Thai lives. In response, Thailand is committed to taking actions in line with UN and international law, and they hope this narrative reaches the broader international community.

During the visit, bereaved family members presented photos of their lost loved ones to the diplomatic representatives and to the convenience store employees who had aided during the incident. These relatives called for justice, emphasizing that their deceased family members were innocent and unaware of the looming attack.
