Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, who is currently acting as Prime Minister, has refrained from answering questions regarding discussions at a recent National Security Council (NSC) meeting related to negotiations with the General Border Committee (GBC). He emphasized the need for more time to complete ongoing processes before providing further details.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham briefly addressed inquiries by stating that there are still numerous steps that need to be finalized. He mentioned that he would not be able to offer a comprehensive response until the processes are further along.
When probed about whether there are any targets that Thailand cannot afford to lose in these negotiations, Mr. Phumtham chose not to respond, maintaining his stance of withholding detailed commentary until more progress has been made.
