Pattaya: Cyber police have dismantled a significant gambling website network operating in the Pattaya area, which boasted a turnover exceeding 9 million baht per month. The operation resulted in the seizure of two firearms and the arrest of two website administrators.
According to Thai News Agency, cyber police, along with police investigation and analysis teams, executed a search warrant issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court. The search was conducted on a luxury condo room located in Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri Province. During the operation, authorities arrested Mr. Chanachai, aged 22, and Mr. Siwakorn, aged 24. In addition, they confiscated a computer router, seven bank account books, nine debit cards, a modified .38 and .380 blank guns, and 52 rounds of .380 ammunition.
The arrests followed an investigation that uncovered the website ‘FAST24H,’ which had been offering online gambling services for over four months. These services included slot games, fish shooting, card games, baccarat, hi-lo, pokdeng, tiger-dragon, live casino, lottery, and sports betting. The website had attracted 6,800 members and generated a turnover of over 9 million baht monthly. The investigation led to identifying the administrators, prompting a request for a search warrant from the court, resulting in their arrest on charges of ‘jointly organizing electronic gambling’ and ‘possession of firearms and ammunition without permission.’
Mr. Chanachai confessed to his role as an administrator responsible for creating advertising clips for the website. Mr. Siwakorn was in charge of marketing, running advertisements to attract customers. Each received an average monthly compensation ranging from 20,000 to 40,000 baht.
