Bangkok: Cyber police have appointed Pol. Lt. Gen. Sirawat Deepo as the deputy spokesman of the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD). Pol. Lt. Gen. Sirawat will also serve as the acting commander of Cyber Division 1.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Lt. Gen. Trirong Phiwpaen, Commander of the TCSD, issued an order for the appointment. Pol. Maj. Gen. Sirawat Deepo will now take on the role of Deputy Head of the Public Relations Working Group and Deputy Spokesperson of the TCSD. This appointment is aimed at enhancing public relations efforts regarding the division's investigation outcomes and the suppression of significant cases.
The move is part of a broader strategy to educate the public about the dangers of technology crimes. By raising awareness, the division hopes to prevent citizens from becoming victims of cyber crimes in the future. Through this appointment, the TCSD intends to strengthen its communications and outreach efforts in addressing the growing challenges posed by technology crimes.
