Bangkok: The Meteorological Department has announced that the upper part of Thailand will experience cool to cold weather. People in the aforementioned areas should take care of their health due to the cold weather. Meanwhile, Bangkok and its vicinity will experience cool weather in the morning.
According to Thai News Agency, the Meteorological Department forecasts the weather for the next 24 hours. The high-pressure area or rather strong cold air mass covering the upper part of Thailand will begin to weaken. Meanwhile, the upper-level westerly winds are blowing over the upper part of Thailand. This will cause the upper part of Thailand to remain cool to cold. People in these areas should be mindful of their health due to the cold weather and be cautious of fire hazards due to dry conditions.
The northeast monsoon blowing over the Gulf of Thailand and the South is quite strong, resulting in strong waves in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. The lower Gulf of Thailand is expected to have waves reaching 2-3 meters in height, with areas experiencing thunderstorms seeing waves higher than 3 meters. The upper Gulf of Thailand will see waves approximately 2 meters high, while the Andaman Sea will experience waves 1-2 meters high. In areas farther from the shore and with thunderstorms, waves may exceed 2 meters. Residents in the eastern South should remain vigilant about waves hitting the shore. Sailors in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are advised to navigate with caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms. Small boats in the lower Gulf of Thailand should refrain from leaving the shore for the day.
During this period, dust and smog accumulation in the upper part of Thailand is expected to be moderate to good due to moderate wind providing relatively good ventilation in the area.
For Bangkok and the surrounding areas, residents can expect cool weather in the morning with minimum temperatures ranging from 19-20 degrees Celsius and maximum temperatures reaching 29-31 degrees Celsius.
