Comptroller General Department Addresses ITD-CREC Joint Venture Name Display Issue

Bangkok: The Comptroller General's Department has clarified concerns regarding the absence of the ITD-CREC joint venture's name in the online auction process. Mrs. Patricia Mongkolvanich, Director-General of the department, explained that during the submission of e-bidding documents for the construction project of the Office of the Auditor General's building, the Electronic Government Procurement System (e-GP) did not display the name of the joint venture. This omission occurred because joint ventures without a complete tax identification number receive a dummy reference number during the document and bid submission process.

According to Thai News Agency, once a joint venture wins a bid and proceeds to contract formation, it must obtain a tax identification number from the Revenue Department. The joint venture then updates this number with the Comptroller General's Department, replacing the dummy reference number. Consequently, while the joint venture's name may not appear on the search page for announcements on the e-GP website, it is available on the page that announces essential contract information. The Comptroller General's Department acknowledges the incomplete display of information and confirms that it is prepared to address the issue promptly to ensure full transparency on the website.
