Commander of Narathiwat Task Force Leads Joint Tactical Patrol in Ra-ngae District

Narathiwat: The commander of Narathiwat Task Force led a force of three divisions: soldiers, police, and local government officials on a joint tactical patrol in the area of Ban Wang Thong, Bong-o Subdistrict, Ra-ngae District.

According to Thai News Agency, on October 20, 2015, Maj. Gen. Yod-awut Phuengpak, commander of Narathiwat Task Force, led a force composed of military, police, and administrative personnel in Ban Wang Thong, Bong-o Subdistrict, Ra-ngae District, bordering Cha-na District. The mission involved conducting a joint tactical patrol with personnel from Task Forces 11, 45, and 49 in the mountainous forest area along the Tawe Mountain Range, a border area known for its strategic importance.

This field visit was also aimed at fostering understanding and connecting field operators with the local population. Maj. Gen. Yod-Awut visited and offered encouragement to the Village Defense Volunteers of Ban Ring, Ban Lubo, and Ban Matako, providing them with financial support to motivate their continued dedication.

During the mission, Maj. Gen. Yod-Awut also visited the family of Defense Volunteer Nasuri Wasamae, who died in an assassination attempt, to present financial compensation and convey encouragement from the "Army to the Warrior's Family." The visit underscored the support extended to families who have endured loss in service to the nation.

Before concluding the mission, the commander met with Imam Bade Awae and students of the Toriku Mutakim Pondok School to discuss and build mutual understanding. Sports equipment was also handed over to local youth, symbolizing the growing friendship, trust, and peace in the region.
