Pattaya: A drunk Chinese man stabbed his fellow countryman, seriously injuring him, in a restaurant in Pattaya after being verbally abused simply because he had walked into the wrong room. Pattaya City Police received a report of a physical assault with injuries, so they coordinated with Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya Rescue Volunteers to provide initial assistance. At the scene, a Chinese restaurant on Pattaya Second Road, Nongprue Subdistrict, Banglamung District, Chon Buri Province, a 40-year-old Chinese man was found injured after being stabbed in the left ribcage with a sharp object. Rescue workers provided assistance before urgently transporting him to the hospital. In front of the shop, the injured man's friends helped arrest the perpetrator, a Chinese man, along with evidence of a fruit knife. There were signs of a struggle and blood stains on the floor and walls.
According to Thai News Agency, the restaurant server said that he did not know what the two parties had a problem with. The injured group was sitting in the room eating and drinking alcohol. The perpetrator did not know where he came from but suddenly grabbed a fruit knife and stabbed the injured person. After the incident, he immediately notified the police to investigate.
While the injured person's friends gave information that the injured person did not know the perpetrator before, while the injured person was sitting drinking in the room, the perpetrator, who was not known where he came from, was very drunk, opened the door and entered the room, so the injured person cursed at him with foul language. The perpetrator was very angry, so he used a knife to stab the injured person.
