Brave Students and Military Cadets Aid Police in Thwarting Wire Theft

Na Chom Thian: Police have applauded the commendable efforts of Mathayom 4-5 students, military cadets, and conscientious citizens who played a pivotal role in apprehending a thief involved in stealing electric wires.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident unfolded at approximately 11:00 a.m. on May 24, 2015, when the investigation team from Na Chom Thian Police Station responded to reports of a gang targeting electric wires. Officers encountered a suspicious man engaged in theft in front of a resort on Soi Jomtien 6. As the police moved to arrest the suspect amid the chaos, four military cadets passing by noticed the commotion and promptly assisted the officers, resulting in the capture of the thief along with the tools and a motorcycle used in the crime.

The apprehended individual confessed during the investigation to acting alone, selling the stolen wires to fund his drug purchases. The Na Chom Thian Police Station has initiated legal proceedings and is further investigating potential gang affiliations.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Yingyot Thepjamnong, Commander of Provincial Police Region 2, lauded the bravery and skill of the four young citizens and military cadets for their crucial assistance in capturing the criminal. Highlighting their actions as exemplary for the younger generation, he extended praise to their parents, guardians, and schools for instilling such commendable values. On May 28, he plans to personally award certificates of honor to the five students involved.

The students, Mr. Chanon Pralao, Mr. Chaimongkol Pamadee, Mr. Komkrit Chatthai, and Mr. Phan Det Sirimak, are all enrolled at Bang Lamung School.
