Chaba Kaew Falls Short Against Myanmar in AFF Championship Semi-Finals

Hanoi: Chaba Kaew lost to Myanmar 1-2, missing out on the 2025 AFF Championship finals. The 2025 AFF Women's Football Championship semi-finals saw the Thai national team take on the Myanmar national team at Latch Chai Stadium in Vietnam.

According to Thai News Agency, in the first half, the Thai national team took an early lead in the 6th minute due to a mistake by the Myanmar defense. The ball was cleared to Wiranya Kaewnakasikham, and it changed direction into the goal, putting Thailand ahead 1-0. However, in the 13th minute, Myanmar's Win Theingkee Tun dribbled into the penalty area and scored with his right foot, leveling the score at 1-1.

In the second half, Myanmar gained the upper hand in the 72nd minute when they were awarded a penalty due to Supaporn Intharaprasit's handball. Win Theingkee Tun took the penalty and successfully scored, giving Myanmar a 2-1 lead. Despite Thailand's efforts to press hard in the second half, they were unable to alter the scoreline. The match concluded with a 2-1 victory for Myanmar.

The Thai national team will now compete for third place on Tuesday, August 19th.
