Casino Act and Entertainment Complexes Seen as Beneficial with Proper Control

Bangkok: Somkid sees that the Casino Act, if properly controlled, will be beneficial. Somsak agrees with 'Entertainment Complex', believing that if it is well controlled, it will be beneficial to the country.

According to Thai News Agency, Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsuthin gave an interview about his position on the draft bill on the operation of entertainment businesses. He stated that the Ministry of Public Health does not have any objections to the proposed legislation. Somsak noted that within entertainment complexes, there is rarely smoking or drinking, and when such activities occur, they are organized in accordance with the law.

When questioned about the ongoing social opposition and the movement to address this issue, Somsak acknowledged that it is rare for everyone to agree unanimously on any matter in the country. However, he emphasized that if people can understand or recognize the societal benefits, there should not be any significant issues.

Somsak expressed his personal belief that the initiative would be beneficial to the country, as it would not result in any harm. He asserted that with proper control, the Casino Act and entertainment complexes would indeed be advantageous for the nation.
