Chonburi: Officials from the Chonburi Department of Social Development and Human Security are taking steps to assist former IBF world champion boxer, Amnat Rueanrueng, following a recent incident that highlighted his personal challenges. Amnat, who was arrested after a fight, has openly admitted to consuming alcohol due to stress, unemployment, and a separation from his wife.
According to Thai News Agency, Chonburi Provincial Social Development and Human Security officials visited Amnat after a concerned citizen alerted government agencies about his plight. The boxer expressed his worries about his son living in another province, his current unemployment status, and the loss of his royal trophy and medals, which were taken by his ex-wife before the sale of their house.
The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has pledged to locate the missing trophies and memorabilia. Additionally, the ministry has encouraged Amnat to focus on recovery, reconnect with his family, seek employment, and abstain from alcohol. In response, Amnat has vowed to avoid repeating similar incidents in the future.
