Buriram United Secures Narrow Victory Over Lamphun Warriors in Thai League Clash

Lamphun: Lamphun Warriors suffered a close defeat against Buriram United with a final score of 1-2 in the Thai League football match.

According to Thai News Agency, the match, which was a postponed fixture of the Thai League 1 2024-2025 season, took place at the Lamphun Warrior Stadium. The home team, known as the "White Elephant King," currently ranks 10th in the league. They faced off against the reigning champions and current league leaders, "Thunder Castle" Buriram United.

The match saw Lamphun Warriors take an early lead in the 34th minute with a goal from a free kick. Mohammed Osman skillfully maneuvered past the defense before scoring, ending the first half with the home team leading 1-0.

In the second half, Buriram United equalized in the 70th minute when substitute Athit Berg set up Supachai Jaided for a header that found the back of the net, leveling the score at 1-1. The decisive moment came in the 85th minute when Lucas Crispim's long shot was deflected by Lamphun's goalkeeper Non Muangngam, leading to Martin Boakia being fouled by Wittawin Klawutiwat. After a VAR review, the referee awarded Buriram a penalty. Guillerme Bissoli successfully converted the penalty, securing a 2-1 lead for Buriram United.

The match concluded with Buriram United narrowly defeating Lamphun Warriors 2-1.
