Pattani: Two bombs were planted in the middle of the Pattani night market, damaging two motorcycles. No one was injured or killed.
According to Thai News Agency, on June 8, 2015, at 8:00 p.m., an unknown group of perpetrators planted two improvised explosive devices in the Pattani Municipality. The first bomb was placed in a trash can in front of a gold shop in the night market area. Despite the explosion, there were no injuries or fatalities, though two motorcycles were damaged. The second device was planted in a trash can located in an alley next to a hotel behind the night market. Fortunately, this explosion also resulted in no casualties.
This incident aligns with warnings issued by the Pattani Provincial Police Station, which had cautioned on May 26, 2015, about potential threats in the area. The warning mentioned that Mr. Makoseng Ma-ae, a member of the operational level of the CPK, along with a small group, had moved into the Kamiyo Subdistrict of Mueang Pattani District with two fully assembled improvised explosive devices. The group was reportedly preparing to plant bombs and ambush patrolling officers or attack security bases.
