Bangkok: "Big Lek" is preparing to unveil a new team of Defense spokespersons aimed at enhancing communication between the government and the public in the new era of governance.
According to Thai News Agency, following a recent cabinet reshuffle, the position of Minister of Defense remains vacant. During this interim period, Gen. Nattapol Nakphanit, the Deputy Minister of Defense, has been actively overseeing the Ministry's operations. Gen. Nattapol's team recently released a video on social media platforms such as Facebook and TikTok under the banner of the Ministry of Defense Spokesperson's Office. The message emphasized the evolving nature of security communication, highlighting its role as a conduit between the state and the public.
The Ministry of Defense Spokesperson's Office is transitioning towards a modern communication strategy, employing accessible digital tools and platforms. This approach aims to foster genuine engagement with the public through accurate, timely, and approachable information, thereby enhancing public safety and participation.
The office has invited the public to communicate any questions or grievances directly through its social media page. Notably, the Ministry of Defense Spokesperson's Office is set to introduce a new spokesperson team tomorrow, July 15, while Gen. Nattapol Nakphanit continues to serve as Deputy Defense Minister.
Rear Admiral Surasan Kongsiri, an expert at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters and spokesperson for the Thai-Cambodian Border Situation Administration Center, Security Affairs Division, is anticipated to be the new Defense Ministry spokesman.
