Myawaddy: The BGF Task Force - DKBA Task Force hastened to suppress the call center gang, over 6,900 people, lamenting that they cannot bear the burden of taking care of them, requesting that Thailand coordinate with the embassy to quickly take them back. Reporters reported on the progress of the suppression of the call center gangs of the BGF and DKBA groups in Myawaddy Province, Myanmar. The Karen Border Guard Force, BGF, is still cracking down on and arresting call center gangs in the area of responsibility. They have sent task forces to inspect and crack down on call center gangs, fraud groups, and human trafficking in various buildings in Shwe Kokko and KK Park continuously. As of today (February 24), the BGF has been able to arrest approximately 6,500 foreigners. After arresting them, a list of names will be made, separated by nationality (country), and an initial investigation will be conducted to determine whether they are part of the call center gang or have been deceived by human trafficking. All of this is currently underway.
According to Thai News Agency, the problem for the BGF group is that they have to take care of a large number of foreigners. Therefore, they would like the Thai government and embassies of various countries to urgently coordinate through the Myanmar government to bring the foreigners back as soon as possible. In the past, 621 Chinese nationals have been sent back.
As for the Karen Buddhist Democratic Forces (DKBA), they currently have 401 foreigners and are also facing the problem of having to take care of them. Therefore, they want to coordinate with the embassies of various countries to come and receive their people as soon as possible.
