Bangkok: Baiyoke Sky Hotel, a prominent high-rise building in Bangkok, has announced that a thorough inspection revealed no damage following an earthquake incident.
According to Thai News Agency, the earthquake occurred on March 28, 2015, at 1:20 p.m. In a Facebook post, the hotel stated that the inspection results showed no damage to the building, including its most fragile part, the glass, which was found to be without cracks.
The hotel's design incorporates earthquake-resistant structures that allow the building to 'flex' or 'sway' within controlled limits during seismic events, reducing the risk of severe damage or collapse. During the earthquake, the hotel executed a safe evacuation of all customers, adhering to established procedures and measures.
