Surat thani: The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) is enticing travelers heading south with a special promotion for the 11th "Thailand Smart Money Surat Thani" event. The promotion includes the Thong Ek savings accounts, which allow a minimum deposit of 100,000 baht up to a maximum of 100 million baht per person, offering an annual interest rate of 1.60 percent.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Paisarn Hongthong, Deputy Managing Director of BAAC, along with other BAAC executives from the Upper Southern Branch Division, attended the event's opening ceremony. They welcomed Mr. Bandal Sathirachawan, Deputy Governor of Surat Thani Province, who presided over the event. The BAAC booth offered special promotions, including deposit products and BAAC savings bonds, which give depositors a chance to win Art Toy AGRI ANIMAL collectibles. The Jade Dragon, Money Bag, Kwan Thung, and BAAC digital bonds are available with various deposit options, and higher deposits can earn exclusive gifts such as a savings box or a multi-purpose bag.
Additionally, the Thong Ek savings account offers a 1.60% annual interest rate for a 9-month period. Depositors of 500,000 to 1,000,000 baht receive a Mang Maew Art Toy, while deposits of 1 million baht or more earn a complete set of four Mang Maew Art Toys. The Emerald Glass savings account, with a minimum deposit of 2,000 baht, provides interest and accident insurance coverage, while the "Full 100% Deposit" program offers monthly interest at a rate of 1.25% per year for a minimum deposit of 10,000 baht.
