Chonburi: Pattaya Provincial Court has approved an arrest warrant for a wife and son accused of strangling her 52-year-old husband and dumping the body in a forest of acacia trees on the side of the road leading into Sattahip, Bang Lamung District.
According to Thai News Agency, the court approved the arrest warrants for Ms. Rattikarn, 46, and her eldest son, Mr. Worayut, 30, from her first marriage, on charges of premeditated murder and moving or destroying a corpse. The suspects were detained by police last night. During questioning, they confessed to collaborating in the murder of Mr. Watchara, her husband, before disposing of his body in a forest along the road into Sattahip. Mr. Worayut was apprehended by police at his residence in a durian orchard located in Kaeng Hang Maeo District and is currently being held for questioning at Huai Yai Police Station.
The victim's sister traveled from Ratchaburi Province to provide a statement to the police. She expressed her initial suspicion that it was the work of her sister-in-law, noting that Ms. Rattikarn did not display any signs of shock upon hearing the news. She shared that her younger brother had loved his wife and children dearly and declared that she would not forgive the perpetrator, urging the police to prosecute the case to the fullest extent.
