All Bodies Recovered from Tissue Factory Fire, 10 Dead

Saraburi: The fire at a tissue paper factory in Hemaraj Industrial Estate, Saraburi Province, has recently found the 10th body, which is the last body. The search mission is considered over.

According to Thai News Agency, the search operation for the missing persons for more than 50 hours has ended after a fire broke out in a tissue paper manufacturing building located in the WHA Industrial Estate, Soi 8, Nong Khae District, Saraburi Province at noon on Monday, June 30, 2025. The rescue team, Ruamkatanyu Rescue, Sawang Rattanatrai Rescue, and Por Tek Tung Rescue, together with the local administration and search team, quickly mobilized all forces to search for the 10 missing persons, led by Mr. Santhat Randawe, the District Chief of Nong Khae, who went down to the area to closely monitor the search for the missing persons.

At 10:30 a.m., a search team from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation reported that another missing person was found on the upper floor of the building where the incident occurred. The body was found in a state of bones on the second floor on the west side of the factory. This person is considered the 10th and last person to die from the fire. Police and forensic officers jointly inspected the body before sending it to the Police General Hospital for identification and DNA testing to confirm the identity of the person in more detail before sending the body to the relatives for religious ceremonies.

Mr. Bancha Chaowarin, Governor of Saraburi Province, ordered relevant agencies to go to the area to take care of those affected, both the families of the injured and the deceased, closely.

The Saraburi Provincial Industrial Office has ordered the temporary closure of factories for safety reasons and has ordered improvements to the fire protection system and waste collection system. It has been ordered to enforce this for all factories in risk areas to prevent a repeat of the incident.
