Bangkok: The Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (AEROTHAI) is actively working to support the policy of "Transportation for a Better Quality of Life for All Citizens" by boosting efficiency in air traffic services and focusing on flight safety and support.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Mallika Jiraphanwanich, Deputy Minister of Transport, emphasized the implementation of government policies aimed at improving air navigation services. Key initiatives include the development of infrastructure and new technologies to enhance air traffic services, optimization of flight routes, and improvement of airspace infrastructure to handle increasing traffic volumes efficiently. Additionally, there is a focus on integrating plans for technology system improvements with development plans for major airports, including Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and the preparation for services at U-Tapao Airport.
Mr. Surachai Nooprom, Deputy President and Acting President of Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Co., Ltd., confirmed that AEROTHAI will execute these guidelines. The strategy involves the Thailand Modernization CNS/ATM System's enhancement, developing emergency backup systems, and designing airspace for efficient air traffic management. Enhancements in aircraft tracking systems are also planned to ensure safety and build airline confidence. These efforts are aimed at strengthening Thailand's position in international aviation and aligning with global aviation technology advancements.
