Bangkok: The Zeer Rangsit shopping mall is making strides in promoting technological education by launching a new zone known as "Robot Realm." This initiative aims to serve as a learning area and showcase innovations in robots and smart technology, providing young people and interested individuals with access to valuable knowledge.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Polpat Techaharuwichit, Deputy Managing Director of Zeer Rangsit Shopping Mall, highlighted that the Robot Realm Zone functions as a learning center, displaying cutting-edge robotic and technological innovations. The official opening ceremony took place on June 24, inspired by the noticeable interest in robotic technology among the youth visiting the mall. This interest highlighted the potential for future development and expansion. As a result, the 'Robot Realm' Zone was established to spark ideas, inspire creativity, and offer a space for experimentation and learning. Activities such as robot competitions, programming workshops, technology demonstrations, and special events for children and youth are part of the initiative. Additionally, the zone is envisioned as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity, providing students from various schools with free skill-building opportunities, thereby reducing educational and technological disparities and driving future innov ation.
The Robot Realm zone houses a Mech Store, offering equipment for building robots, a Mech Mind room for 3D printing and scanning, a drone field for flying practice, and a competition field for trying out robots. The aim is to create a hub of creativity and inspiration for Thai children.
The zone's primary goal is to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning through hands-on experiences. By engaging with robots, the zone seeks to inspire educational opportunities, enhance analytical thinking, and foster creative problem-solving skills. It also supports new-generation inventors by providing a platform to showcase their work and exchange knowledge, acting as a bridge between the educational and industrial sectors to advance technology and innovation in the country. The Robot Realm is set to host the APRA Thailand Championship 2025 on July 5-6, 2025.
