Youth Teams Secure Spots in Thailand’s GLO Cup 2025 Finals

Ratchaburi: The 8-a-side Youth Football Tournament, Thailand Championship 'GLO Cup 2025', concluded its Central and Western Region Qualifying Round at the Ratchaburi Provincial Central Stadium. The tournament determined the teams that will advance to the Thailand Finals in both the Under 13 and Under 15 age groups. According to Thai News Agency, the U13 category saw Manisuk Academy triumph over Nong Khao Kowit Pittayakhom School with a score of 2-1. Meanwhile, Khlong Khon Academy was defeated by Kanchanaburi Provincial Administrative Organization School 1 (Ban Kao Witthaya) 2-4. Suphan Buri Provincial Sports School lost narrowly to Drunarajaburi School 0-1, and Hua Hin Witthayakhom School succumbed to Thesaban 1 School (Wat Sattanat Pariwat) 0-4. These results led to four teams from the Central and Western regions advancing: Manisuk Academy, Kanchanaburi Provincial Administrative Organization School 1 (Ban Kao Witthaya), Drunarajaburi School, and Thesaban 1 School (Wat Sattanat Pariwat). In the U15 category , Nong Khao Kowit Pittayakhom School drew 0-0 with Ratchaburi Provincial Administrative Organization School (Wat Huai Pla Duk, etc.) before winning on penalties 3-2. Phra Thaen Dong Rang Witthayakhan School was defeated by Kanchanaburi Provincial Administrative Organization School 1 (Ban Kao Witthaya) 1-2. Nong Ya Sai Witthaya School drew with ASSUMPTION ACADEMY 0-0, but ASSUMPTION ACADEMY won the penalty shoot-out 3-1. Khlong Khon Academy secured a victory over Ratchaburi Municipality Demonstration School 4-0. Consequently, the U15 teams representing the regions are Nong Khao Kowit Pittayakhom School, Kanchanaburi Provincial Administrative Organization School 1 (Ban Kao Witthaya), ASSUMPTION ACADEMY, and Khlong Khon Academy. The GLO Cup 2025 also introduced the GLO Star Award, recognizing standout players chosen by the Thai Football Development Foundation Committee for a 6-month training trip to Japan with Avispa Fukuoka, a notable J-League team. In the U13 category, the selected players are Kasidet Limsuwa n from Kanchanaburi Provincial Administrative Organization School 1 (Ban Kao Witthaya), Tanutat Charoenketkaew from Darunarachburi School, Thanakrit Mueangman from Thesaban 1 School (Wat Sattanat Pariwat), and Sukrit Khamsaeng from Maneesuk Academy. For the U15 category, the GLO Star recipients are Parinth Pansiri from Chai Nat Provincial Administrative Organization School, Phatthakon Aiem-amporn from Khlong Khon Academy, Worayut Wiraphan from ASSUMPTION ACADEMY, and Kanlavela Thaweerat from ASSUMPTION ACADEMY.
