In the case of a woman who drove a car and hit a student walking on the side of the road in Chiang Mai Province, she blamed the child for walking unsteadily and hitting the car. She is preparing to meet the Mae Ping Police Station tomorrow afternoon (1 Oct). Facebook user Nutnicha Nicha posted a clip with a message saying that a school boy was hit by a car two days ago. On the day of the accident, the black sedan that hit him claimed that the boy staggered and hit the car himself and then went their separate ways without taking the boy to the hospital or contacting his parents. However, after reviewing the CCTV footage, it did not match up, so she posted to find the driver to take responsibility because she felt sorry for the boy who was hit by the car and injured until he had to be treated at the hospital. The post became a hot topic online, with most people calling for the driver to admit his mistake and take responsibility for the other party. The latest Facebook user who posted the clip revealed that t he mother of the injured child contacted to thank her for helping her son and asked to see more information from the CCTV because her son had a stomachache and numbness in his lower body, so he had to go to the hospital for an x-ray. The reason for posting it on social media was because she saw the footage from the camera and felt sorry for the child who had been hit by a car and had to go to the hospital. However, the driver claimed that the child had walked into him, and she could only provide first aid. Therefore, she wanted to find the driver to take responsibility and to serve as an example for other road users in Soi Thanupong, which is a residential area, to be careful. Ms. B (pseudonym), 35 years old, the mother of the male student who was hit by the car, said that she went to thank the shop for helping her son initially and asked for more information. When she saw the clip, she was shocked because her son was hit by the car with great force, even though he was walking close to the edge of the road. However, the driver did not seem to see the boy walking at all. When asked, the son said that the other party who hit him stopped the car and got out to look. He also scolded him for not looking at the car because he was busy playing. He did not show any responsibility by taking him to the hospital or helping him to his accommodation to show his kindness. For this reason, he could not accept it and went to file a complaint with the Mae Ping Police Station to have the other party contact him to show responsibility. The son had a feeling of tightness in his abdomen and numbness in his lower extremities, so he was taken to the hospital for a thorough examination. Fortunately, his symptoms were not severe, but he had to be monitored because he had internal bruising, especially in his abdomen. He wanted this to be a lesson for road users on community roads: drive carefully and be considerate of other road users. His son regularly uses this road to walk home with his friends and older brother. The school's insura nce will cover the expenses, but the other party must be prosecuted according to the law or take responsibility according to humanitarian principles. They must not be irresponsible and blame the child like this. The latest report is that the police have found the other party and he has reported to the Mae Ping Police Station tomorrow (October 1) in the afternoon. Source: Thai News Agency
