Wisut Unaware of Potential Coalition Rift Over Prime Minister Change

Bangkok: "Wisut" does not know if the Phalang Pracharath Party is threatening to withdraw if the PM is not changed. He boasts that the government's votes are solid at 280+. He hinted that there are cases where the party does not come but the person does.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Wisut Chainarun, MP for the Pheu Thai Party and Chairman of the House of Representatives Coordination Committee (Government Whip), addressed concerns regarding the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party's reported demand for a change in the Prime Minister, threatening to withdraw from the coalition government if their request is not met. Mr. Wisut expressed uncertainty about the veracity of these claims, stating that he was unsure whether the threat was genuine. He emphasized, however, that the government currently holds a solid majority with over 270-280 votes.

Mr. Wisut revealed that he had received information from inside sources indicating that numerous individuals have expressed interest in joining the government. He suggested that while some political parties may not officially align with the government, individual members are showing support. At present, these developments remain confidential, but Mr. Wisut conveyed confidence that the coalition's stability is not at risk, regardless of potential changes in party affiliations.
