Welcoming Return of 22 Thai Workers from Israel

Bangkok: Deputy Minister Boonsong has welcomed 22 Thai workers back to Thailand after they completed their work period in Israel.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, along with key officials from the Ministry of Labor, greeted these workers who were employed by Chemo Aharon Ltd. The workers, who had been engaged in industrial projects under two-year contracts, returned after completing their assignments.

The Permanent Secretary noted that their return was initially scheduled for June 16, 2025, but was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Chemo Aharon Ltd. managed the logistics for their return, covering all related expenses, including airfare, visa fees, food, and transportation to Amman Airport.

The group traveled on Jordanian Airlines on June 23, 2025, at 01:00 a.m. RJ650, followed by a transfer to Qatar Airways flight QR828 at Doha Airport, arriving in Thailand on the evening of June 23, 2025, at 7:20 p.m.

Mr. Boonsong also mentioned a recent update that nine more workers in Israel have requested to return to Thailand due to the ongoing conflict, with their arrival anticipated on Friday, June 27.
