Wat Phra That Chaiyaphum Hosts Ceremony to Honor His Majesty the King

Chaiyaphum: Wat Phra That Chaiyaphum organized a ceremony to honor His Majesty the King. Chao Khun To led the Chaiyaphum governor in holding a ceremony to offer blessings and extend the auspicious destiny of His Majesty the King, following the ancient Isan-Lan Chang tradition at Wat Phra That Chaiyaphum.

According to Thai News Agency, Phra Ratchamahachetiyaphiyabarn, Assistant Abbot of Wat Arun Ratchawararam and Acting Abbot of Wat Bot, played a pivotal role in the event. As the Advisor to the President of the Office of Overseeing Buddhist Missionaries Abroad and President of the Association of Wat Arun United Kingdom in Norwich, Chao Khun Tor scheduled a Buddhist chanting ceremony to honor His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty's birthday anniversary on 28 July 2025. Mr. Anan Nakniyom, the Governor of Chaiyaphum Province, served as the chairman of the laity.

The ceremony of offering blessings is rooted in the Isan Lan Chang tradition, an ancient practice that involves calling the King's spirit according to the name in Isan. This cultural heritage underscores the deep-seated respect and reverence for the monarchy within the community.

Additionally, the event featured a parade of royal seedlings destined for planting at Khok Nong Na Arayakaset. This initiative serves as a model for sustainable living, aligning with His Majesty the King's royal initiatives. The event at Wat Phra That Chaiyaphum, located in Kao Ya Dee Subdistrict, Kaeng Khro District, Chaiyaphum Province, was attended by a large number of civil servants, government officials, private sector representatives, and members of the public, all gathered to support the continuation and development of His Majesty's royal intentions.
