Bangkok: "Warawut" has initiated support for five Thai nationals returning from Israel by sending a team from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS). The initiative aims to provide assistance and ensure the welfare of these individuals as they return to their home provinces.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, disclosed the recent developments at Suvarnabhumi Airport. At 7:49 a.m., Ms. Napaporn Mekhaphong-ampai, Inspector-General of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, and a team from the Center for Accelerated Public Welfare Management (CWRM) welcomed the five Thai nationals who were recently released by Hamas on January 30, 2025. The returning individuals include Mr. Wutthi Sri-uan, Mr. Surasak Lamnao, Mr. Phongsak Tanna, Mr. Sathien Suwannakam, and Mr. Bannawat Sae Thao, originating from various provinces across Thailand.
The Ministry expressed relief at the safe return of the Thai workers and emphasized their commitment to supporting the individuals and their families. Upon their return to their respective hometowns in Udon Thani, Buriram, Nong Bua Lamphu, and Nan provinces, the provincial Social Development and Human Security Offices (PSHOs) will engage with the families. Their efforts will include providing emotional support, assessing social welfare needs, and coordinating with local agencies to ensure both immediate and long-term assistance. The Ministry assures that they are prepared to offer help and can be contacted for urgent assistance via the MSHO hotline at 1300.
