Wan Nor Anticipates Government Policy Announcement in Early October

Bangkok: Wan Nor expects the government to announce its policy on October 1-2, but this could change depending on the government's readiness. He pointed out that the statement must be sent to parliamentarians three days in advance. According to Thai News Agency, Parliament Speaker Wan Muhammad Noor Matha stated that the date of the government's policy statement will depend on the government's determination. After the oath-taking ceremony and the special cabinet meeting on September 24th, Parliament will notify Parliament of the date the government is ready to announce its policy. Once the government has made the announcement, Parliament will consult with the three whips to determine the date and time for the debate, which is expected to be early or late next week. Parliament is ready to notify members of the date of the policy statement, and must notify at least three days in advance, as the government must submit the policy statement to members for review before the meeting. Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor added tha t if everything is ready and there are no obstacles, it could be on October 1-2, with both days taking the same amount of time as the previous government. However, it all depends on the agreement of the whips of all three parties. When asked whether the opposition, with its larger majority than the government, could allocate time effectively, Wan Muhammad Noor stated that the whip would be able to handle the situation and that a meeting would be held to discuss and reach an agreement. However, he added that the government would have to wait for the government to announce its readiness for a policy statement. If everything was ready, it would be ready.
