Bangkok: Wan Nor has disclosed that tomorrow will mark the crucial day for discussing the policy statement and draft constitutional amendment.
According to Thai News Agency, House Speaker Wan Muhammad Noor Matha elaborated on the government's policy statement, emphasizing the need to wait for the government to announce its readiness. Earlier today, the Prime Minister led the cabinet in taking the oath of office, and he assured that the date for the announcement would be confirmed tomorrow. This confirmation will be followed by a trilateral whip meeting set for 2:00 PM to finalize the date. It is crucial to involve all whips to avoid quorum issues and ensure a clear understanding. The meeting will also address the duration and allocation of debate hours for each side, alongside discussions on the constitutional amendments.
Regarding the timeframe for the policy statement, the House Speaker mentioned that it would depend on the conclusions of the whip meeting. Members must receive the document three days in advance; however, if the situation is deemed extremely urgent, the Speaker may propose a one-day delay. The final decision on these matters is expected tomorrow.
