Bangkok: His Majesty the King has appointed Vitai Ratanakorn as the new Governor of the Bank of Thailand, effective October 1, 2025.
According to Thai News Agency, the Royal Gazette website published an announcement from the Office of the Prime Minister regarding this appointment. The announcement stated that His Majesty the King issued a royal command appointing Mr. Vitai Ratanakorn to the position, in accordance with the Bank of Thailand Act, B.E. 2485, as amended by the Bank of Thailand Act (No. 4) B.E. 2551, Section 28/14. The appointment was countersigned by Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister.
