Villagers Demand Action as Abandoned House Becomes Hub for Indecent Activities

Pathum thani: Villagers from Khlong Si Subdistrict in Khlong Luang District are expressing their frustration over an abandoned house that has become a popular spot for couples engaging in sexual activities and gatherings. The site, described as a single-story concrete house surrounded by tall grass, has become a hotspot for illicit activities, with condoms and tissue paper littering the area. Concerned villagers fear this could lead to jealousy and crime issues, prompting them to call for an official inspection.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Saengduan, the village headman, led officers to the site following numerous complaints from local residents. The inspection revealed not only the presence of used condoms and other paraphernalia but also witnessed cars frequently arriving and departing from the area, especially at night. The villagers reported that both men and women regularly visited the location, raising concerns about safety due to the lack of electricity in the area.

Past inspections by various agencies have identified the site as a gathering place for drug use and indecent acts, particularly involving groups of gay men. While no illegal items or drugs were found during vehicle checks and urine tests, authorities could only issue warnings. Moving forward, officials plan to coordinate with relevant agencies to enforce stricter legal measures to address the situation.
