Songkhla: Police are investigating a shooting incident at a grocery store on the Khuan Hin-Thung Wang road in Ban Bo Rakam, Songkhla Province. At the scene, many AK47 shell casings were found. The store owner reported that Mr. Jiraphan and two friends were drinking kratom water until almost 2 a.m. when an unknown number of assailants drove a sedan with an unknown make and license plate and parked in front of the store. They then used guns to shoot through the closed steel rolling door in front of the store. The bullets hit Mr. Jiraphan, killing him instantly. The assailants fled towards Tambon Thung Wang.
According to Thai News Agency, the police suspect that the perpetrators probably came to scout out the area beforehand and knew where the deceased was sitting in the shop. The initial motive is believed to be a shady business dealing in firearms and drugs. The investigation team will urgently go to the area to track down the car the perpetrators used in the crime in order to track them down and arrest them.
