Korat: Turkey's female volleyball players have arrived in Korat, while Belgium's have arrived in Phuket ahead of the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship. Meanwhile, the Thai women's national volleyball team is preparing for a friendly match against China at 4:00 PM today. According to Thai News Agency, the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship will be hosted by Thailand from August 22 to September 7 across four provinces: Bangkok, Nakhon Ratchasima, Phuket, and Chiang Mai. The Belgian women's volleyball team, ranked 14th in the world, recently arrived in Phuket Province, where they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Adul Chuthong, Deputy Governor of Phuket Province. The Belgian team is placed in Group B alongside Italy, Cuba, and Slovakia, with the first round of matches taking place at the 4,000-seat gymnasium in Saphan Hin. The Turkish women's team, ranked 6th in the world, has also reached Nakhon Ratchasima Province. They were greeted by Mr. Chaiwat Chuenkosum, the provincial governor, with tra ditional Thai hospitality, including long drums, dancers, and orchids. Turkey is in Group E with Canada, Bulgaria, and Spain, and will play at Chatchai Hall, Chaloem Phrakiat 80th Anniversary Stadium. The Thai women's volleyball team is preparing for a special warm-up match against China, ranked 4th in the world, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations. This event is scheduled for this evening at 4:00 PM at the Indoor Stadium, Huamark, and admission is free for volleyball fans. For the World Championship, the Thai team, ranked 21st in the world, is in Group A with Egypt, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Their first match is set for Friday, August 22, against Egypt at 8:30 p.m. at the Indoor Stadium, Huamark.
