Chiang Mai: TTM+ 2025 Chiang Mai Tourism Promotion Event emerges as a major success, attracting buyers from 53 countries worldwide and facilitating over 13,000 business negotiations, with expected revenue exceeding 4,200 million baht.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Sasikarn Wattanachan, Deputy Government Spokesperson, shared insights into the success of the 22nd Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+), a business-to-business (B2B) tourism promotion event held from June 4-6, 2025, at the Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai Province. This marks the third occasion the event has been hosted in Chiang Mai.
TTM+ serves as a pivotal platform, enabling Thai tourism entrepreneurs to engage directly with foreign buyers. It also showcases Thai tourism products and services, emphasizing Lanna arts and culture. This year, the event saw participation from 406 foreign tourism entrepreneurs (Buyers) hailing from 53 countries.
A notable aspect of this year's event is the inclusion of over 30% new participants from countries including Germany, France, India, England, and Eastern European nations. The Chinese market remains the most significant group, with 97 buyers, despite a slight decrease in numbers from last year.
On the seller side, 450 Thai entrepreneurs participated, representing various regions across the country, including 30 from 14 appealing provinces. This diverse participation helps enhance potential, elevate standards, and develop local marketing, fostering a broad and sustainable business network for Thai entrepreneurs.
The assessment anticipates that TTM+ 2025 will host approximately 1,000 participants, including 406 international tour operators (Buyers) and around 450 Thai tourism business operators (Sellers), along with over 100 local and international media outlets and National Tourism Organizations (NTOs) from the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). The event is projected to result in no less than 13,000 business negotiations, generating an estimated 4,296 million baht in tourism revenue.
The government remains dedicated to propelling the Thai tourism industry towards robust and sustainable growth through global market connections. By creating platforms for Thai entrepreneurs to access business opportunities and enhancing the quality of Thai tourism products and services, Thailand aims to continue being one of the world's premier destinations.
