Bangkok, "Ittiporn", the chairman of the Election Commission, opened a meeting to explain the guidelines for providing knowledge in the quality citizenship course in the military cadet handbook, hoping to raise awareness of the duties of all Thai people. Mr. Ittiporn Boonprakong, Chairman of the Election Commission, presided over the opening ceremony of the meeting to explain the guidelines for providing knowledge, the quality citizenship course in the military cadet handbook, with Mr. Wira Yiprae, Deputy Secretary-General of the Election Commission, giving a report, along with Pol. Lt. Col. Detpol Kosanan, Director of the Political Party and Election Science Institute, Commander of the Territorial Defense Command, Commander of the Military Student Training Center, Commander of the Military Student Training Unit, and representatives of the Air Force Personnel Department. This training is a collaboration between the Election Commission and the Territorial Defense Command to create correct knowledge and unders tanding about the democratic regime with the King as Head of State, as a principle for expanding learning and promoting military cadets to become quality citizens of the country. Mr. Itthiporn asked for cooperation in disseminating Section 50 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand 2017 regarding the duties of all Thai people, which is the source of values ??that should be aware of and practiced, including promoting the use of the Smart Vote application to search for information about the election. Mr. Itthiporn also said that the quality citizenship course is a course that creates citizens to be citizens and develops citizens to be quality citizens. The Election Commission Office has therefore continuously improved the quality citizenship course to make the content of the course and the method of knowledge transfer appropriate for the era and up to date with the situation of the country, but still maintains the essence of the course, which is to create citizens to be quality citizens. The current q uality citizenship curriculum is the revised version for 2024. When the curriculum is revised, training for military cadet trainers must be organized in parallel because military cadet trainers are responsible for transferring knowledge from the quality citizenship curriculum content to military cadets. The Territorial Defense Command and the Election Commission Office are therefore bound by the work that must be done together and cannot be separated. The result of the cooperation that has been tangibly demonstrated in this regard is the Volunteer Military Training Corps, which is a youth-level mechanism that participates in campaigning and facilitating the election and referendum. In addition to developing the content of the quality citizenship curriculum, developing inter-agency relations is equally important. Today's event is a good opportunity for the commander of the Territorial Defense Command, the commander of the Military Cadet Training Center, the commander of the Military Cadet Training Unit, and r epresentatives of the Air Force Personnel Department to exchange views and opinions with the Election Commission Office about past operations in order to expand the scope of cooperation in the future and promote better inter-agency relations.
