The Curtain Falls on “Dam Khuan Don” Fleeing a Theft Case for 4 Years

Songkhla: Crime Suppression Division police surrounded and arrested 'Dam Khuan Don,' a suspect in a theft case who had been on the run for nearly 4 years. Known for his speed, he managed to escape multiple arrest attempts until this time, where a strategic deployment of two forces prevented his escape. The suspect, trying to flee, ran into a trap and collided with the police waiting outside.

According to Thai News Agency, the Crime Suppression Division Police Force, Division 6, was on the lookout for Mr. Worakorn, 29, nicknamed "Dam Khuan Don", after receiving information about his presence at a construction site in Village 8, Tung Wang Subdistrict, Mueang Songkhla District. Due to his past escape record, the police meticulously surrounded the area, deploying two groups: one to apprehend him inside and another stationed outside to cover potential escape routes.

The arrest warrant for Mr. Worakorn was issued by the Satun Provincial Court on October 7, 2021, on theft charges. Originating from Village 2, Tambon Khuan Sato, Amphoe Khuan Don, Satun Province, he worked as a second-hand goods buyer. His troubles began when he picked up scrap metal from a construction company warehouse in Khuan Don District, only to have the real owner demand its return. Fearing arrest, he fled and continued to evade capture by working discreetly in Songkhla Province, always aware of the case against him. His capture marks the end of his years on the run, and he is set to be transferred to Khuan Don Police Station, Satun Province, for further legal proceedings.
