Thanakorn Urges Citizens to Vigilantly Participate in Historic Provincial Elections

Bangkok: "Thanakorn" advises citizens to be alert, check their rights, and use their voices to elect the Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) to the fullest. He emphasizes the importance of public vigilance in the upcoming PAO elections, urging local governments to remain watchful for any instances of electoral malpractices such as cheating and vote buying. He insists that any signs of undue influence or control over politics should be reported immediately to the Election Commission.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, who is a former Minister to the Prime Minister's Office and currently the Deputy Leader of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party (RTSC), highlighted the significance of this election. It marks the first instance where a major political party is actively participating in the PAO-level elections, making it a focal point for the entire nation. Mr. Thanakorn encouraged citizens across all provinces to verify their voting rights and cast their votes diligently to shape the future of their local communities and achieve comprehensive development.

Mr. Thanakorn also called on the public to actively monitor the election process. He urged citizens to report any evidence of vote buying and selling to the provincial Election Commission promptly. This, he believes, will ensure that competent individuals are elected to govern local areas, free from the influence of money and corruption. He expressed confidence that public cooperation would result in a clean and fair election process.

"This is considered a fierce and lively local election at the provincial administrative organization level, with major political parties coming down to play in the local arena themselves. This is unprecedented in local politics in our country. Therefore, I would like everyone to help keep an eye on, monitor, and investigate corruption, vote buying, and ask the public to come out and participate as much as possible. I believe that this local election will definitely determine national politics in the next 2-3 years," said Mr. Thanakorn.
